We are thrilled to share the outcomes of our recent engagement meeting with the National AIDS and STIs Control Program (NASCP) and key partners, including CDC, PEPFAR, UNAIDS, WHO, and CCM. This two-day event was a significant step forward in our collective efforts to strengthen the HIV/AIDS response across Nigeria.
Key Highlights:
- Strengthening Collaboration: NASCP underscored the importance of community feedback to enhance service quality. Improved coordination, communication, and collaboration between NEPWHAN and NASCP were recognized as essential for achieving our shared goals.
- Leadership & Structure: Stakeholders such as UNAIDS and WHO emphasized the need for NEPWHAN to lead in coordinating community efforts, building robust leadership, and maintaining credibility among all partners.
- Program Updates: NEPWHAN shared updates on our ongoing programs, highlighting the impact we’re making across various states. We also discussed the importance of effective resource management to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Commitment to Quality Care: CCM emphasized the necessity for NEPWHAN to elevate the quality of care, accountability, and service tracking to achieve the best outcomes for people living with HIV/AIDS.
- Visibility & Advocacy: The meeting reinforced the need for NEPWHAN to enhance its visibility, actively participate in policy processes, and advocate for the needs of our communities.
