Job Title: Driver

Job Purpose:

The Driver will provide reliable and safe driving services to support the implementation of the Global Fund – NTHRIP grant activities. The role involves ensuring the proper maintenance of project vehicles, compliance with road safety regulations, and assisting with logistics and administrative tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely transport staff, partners, and materials to designated locations in a timely manner.
• Ensure that project vehicles are in good condition by conducting routine maintenance and reporting any mechanical issues.
• Maintain a logbook of vehicle movements, fuel consumption, and service schedules.
• Adhere to all traffic and road safety regulations.
• Support administrative tasks such as delivering documents, materials, and other project-related items.
• Assist with logistics during field visits, meetings, and project activities.
• Ensure the security of the vehicle and its passengers at all times.
• Follow NEPWHAN’s policies and procedures regarding vehicle use and maintenance.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum of SSCE / WAEC / NECO certificate.
• A valid Nigerian driver’s license (Class B or above).
• At least 3 years of experience as a professional driver, preferably with an NGO or development organization.
• Familiarity with Nigerian roads and travel routes, especially in project locations.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Understanding of confidentiality and professionalism in handling project-related information.
